I have read this book a while ago but I still think it’s one of the best books out there to read!

The way Dr. Murphy dives into the depths of our subconscious is kinda fascinating. It’s like he’s shining a light on this hidden powerhouse that we all possess but rarely tap into. What I liked most about the book is how the book shows that harnessing this power can truly transform our lives for the better. I’m pretty that if you read the book and got yourself into this, you’d see the impact on your life too.

So, I thought, why not share some of these insights here with you all? Because let’s face it, we could all use a little boost now and then, right?

Now, I don’t know about you, but over the past few years, I’ve had my fair share of ups and downs. And let me tell you, this book helped me understand better the role of our subconscious mind has been a game-changer for me. It’s given me a whole new perspective on how I approach things; the way I feel, the way I act or react sometimes.

The only reason your life is a mess right now, is because your subconscious mind is literally destroying you!

Understanding your Subconscious Mind

At its core, the subconscious mind is like a vast reservoir of information, beliefs, and memories that operate below the surface of our awareness. It is the silent observer, quietly influencing the way we feel, our thoughts, and behaviors in ways that we often neglect. To truly understand what your subconscious mind is capable of, you must first understand how it differs from the conscious mind.

Unlike the conscious mind, which operates in the realm of logic and rationality, the subconscious mind is governed by a different set of rules. It does not distinguish between reality and imagination, nor does it discern between past, present, and future. Instead, it absorbs information indiscriminately, like a sponge soaking up water, and stores it away for future reference.

One of the most intriguing aspects of the subconscious mind is its role in shaping our beliefs and perceptions of the world around us. From a young age, we are getting an insane amount of messages from our environment—family, friends, —that stick upon our subconscious like fingerprints on clay. These beliefs, whether positive or negative, shape us as humans and influence the way we see ourselves and the world, influencing every aspect of our lives.

But here’s the thing: the subconscious mind is not set in stone. It is highly adaptable and responsive to the input it receives. This means that we have the power to reshape our subconscious programming and create a more empowering reality for ourselves.

Of course, uncovering the secrets of the subconscious mind is no easy. It requires patience, persistence, and willingness. Yet, the rewards is immeasurable. By diving into the depths of our subconscious, we gain insight into the root causes of our thoughts and behaviors, allowing us to release outdated patterns and embrace new possibilities for growth and transformation.

To make it simple, unveiling the subconscious mind is like peeling back the layers of an onion, each revelation bringing us closer to the core of our being. It is a process of self-discovery and self-mastery, in which we reclaim our power and unlock our full potential.

The Influence of Beliefs and thoughts

Consider, for a moment, the beliefs that have been stuck within you since childhood—the messages whispered by parents, teachers, and society at large. From an early age, we are taught to make sense of the world through a lens of preconceived notions and societal norms. These beliefs, whether consciously acknowledged or buried deep within the recesses of our subconscious, lay the groundwork for our understanding of self and other, shaping the very contours of our reality.

Yet, it is not only the beliefs passed down to us by external sources that hold sway over our lives; it is also the beliefs we hold about ourselves that exert a profound influence on our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

How often do we find ourselves imprisoned by the limiting beliefs that whisper tales of inadequacy, unworthiness, and self-doubt? How frequently do we allow the echoes of past failures and disappointments to dictate the course of our future endeavors?

Consider the simple act of visualization—a tool for harnessing the creative power of the subconscious mind. When we vividly imagine ourselves achieving our goals, overcoming obstacles, and embodying our highest potential, we send a powerful signal to the subconscious, signaling our intentions and aligning our energies with the fulfillment of our desires.

But what would happen if our beliefs and thoughts are full of negativity and self-sabotage?

It is here that the shadow side of belief shows up. When we allow ourselves to be caged by limiting beliefs, we put barriers and obstacles to our own success. I don’t think anyone of us wanna see that happen/

The fact that our beliefs are not immutable truths but malleable constructs, capable of being reshaped and redefined through conscious intention and self-awareness.

Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t—you’re right.”

When we cultivate a mindset of abundance, resilience, and possibility, we create a fertile soil in which our dreams can take root and flourish. On the other hand, when we allow ourselves to be shackled by the chains of doubt and fear, we unwittingly relinquish our power, consigning ourselves to a fate dictated by the whims of circumstance.

Dr. Joseph Murphy suggests that we use technics such as meditation, journaling, and self-inquiry, to be able to get out the beliefs buried deep within our subconscious, bringing them to the eyes of our conscious awareness where they can be examined, challenged, and ultimately transformed.

Mahatma Gandhi said, “Your beliefs become your thoughts, your thoughts become your words, your words become your actions, your actions become your habits, your habits become your values, your values become your destiny.”

Programming Your Subconscious Mind

In the intricate dance between conscious intention and subconscious programming, lies the key to unlocking the full potential of our minds.

At its core, the subconscious mind operates much like a vast reservoir, storing the sum total of our beliefs, memories, and experiences. Unlike the conscious part, the subconscious mind operates primarily in the realm of symbolism, metaphor, and emotion.

One of the most technics tools for programming the subconscious mind is the practice of affirmations—a simple yet powerful technique for rewiring the neural pathways that govern our thoughts and behaviors. By repeating positive affirmations we send a clear and consistent message to the subconscious, signaling our unwavering commitment to our goals and aspirations. Over time, these affirmations begin to take root of our subconscious, reshaping our beliefs and perceptions in ways that align with our deepest desires.

Another powerful tool for programming the subconscious mind is the practice of visualization—a technique that harnesses the creative power of the imagination to conjure vivid mental images of our desired outcomes and experiences. By visualizing ourselves achieving our goals, overcoming obstacles, and embodying our highest potential, we send a powerful signal to the subconscious, activating the law of attraction and drawing our desired outcomes into our lives with effortless ease.

Perhaps the most profound aspect of programming the subconscious mind lies in its ability to bypass the critical faculty of the conscious mind, allowing us to outcome the limitations of logic and reason and tap into the limitless power of our innermost desires. Through techniques such as guided meditation and neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), we can access the hidden part of our subconscious mind.

But programming the subconscious mind is not just about affirmations or visualizing desired outcomes; it is a holistic process that requires alignment of mind, body, and spirit. It requires a willingness to surrender control and trust in the innate wisdom of the subconscious, knowing that it is always working tirelessly on our behalf to bring our deepest desires into life.

One of the best quotes about this for me is “Every thought we think is creating our future.”

This simple yet powerful statement captures the essence of programming the subconscious mind—the understanding that our thoughts possess the power to shape our reality in ways both subtle and profound.

When we consciously choose to align our thoughts, beliefs, and intentions with our deepest desires, we activate the full potential of our subconscious mind.

I also wanna talk about two important things. The power of autosuggestion, which is based on the fact that through affirmation, you can influence your subconscious mind. The second one is the role of faith and expectation that, I believe, are very important in each and everyone’s life.

The power of autosuggestion stands on the principle that the mind can be influenced by self- wer of affirmations and positive self-talk to reshape the contours of our inner reality. Through repetition and consistency, these affirmations begin to take root within the depths of our subconscious, rewriting the neural pathways that govern our beliefs and perceptions. Autosuggestion enables us to break free from the shackles of limiting beliefs and self-imposed limitations.

For most of us, Faith and Expectation work as guiding stars, allowing us to believe in our deepest desires and highest aspirations. In a strong belief that the universe is conspiring in our favor, faith over steps the realm of reason and logic, tapping into divine grace and providence. It is through faith that we surrender the illusion of control, releasing our grip on the outcome and trusting in the inherent wisdom of the universe to orchestrate events in perfect alignment with our highest good.

Yet, faith alone is not enough; it must be accompanied by the unwavering expectation that our desires will manifest in timing and accordance with the laws of the universe. It is through the fusion of faith and expectation that miracles unfold. We must also choose to believe in the limitless potential that resides within us, knowing that with faith and expectation as our guiding lights, anything is possible.
